01-28-2022Notes from the PrincipalMrs. Jamie Bescak

Dear Parents,

Catholic Schools Week is finally here! Along with Catholic schools throughout the country, St. John Bosco will celebrate the many blessings of Catholic Education during a jam-packed week of special activities. Teachers and students have been busy preparing for the most exciting week of the school year!

We will kick off the week beginning with Penny Wars so make sure children bring coins on Monday morning. All of the collected funds will be donated to Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos (NPH). And don’t forget to also bring in canned and boxed food to fill the St. Vincent DePaul Pantry in our annual Cans Across Campus tradition.

There aremany special events each day; click here for the complete day-by-day Catholic Schools Week Schedule of Events. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to join us! Mr. Caradonna is still in need of a few volunteers for Tuesday’s Field Day. Please click here to sign up to volunteer.

Congratulations to 7th-grade student Olivia Vaughan for placing 4th in the Phoenix Diocese Spelling Bee! She competed in 9 competitive rounds with a smile on her face and a skip in her step that made it almost ironic that she misspelled the word “vivacious.” Olivia’s 4th-place finish among 25 diocesan schools landed her a spot in the Regional Spelling Bee on February 12th. We are so proud of you, Olivia!

Joyful blessings,
Jamie Bescak, Principal
