November 5

11-05-2021Notes from the PrincipalMrs. Jamie Bescak

Dear Parents,

This week we were reminded of how blessed we are that our students are allowed to embrace and celebrate our Catholic faith at school. We began the week celebrating All Saints Day with our precious first graders dressed as saints as they processed into church to the tune of “The Saints Go Marching In” as we gathered for the last time in the current St. Benedict building.

On Tuesday our 7th graders produced an exhilarating game show called “Name that Saint” in which entire student body actively participated. I was so impressed with how well versed all of our students were with their knowledge of saints!

Tuesday evening after the All Souls' Mass, we came together as one community as our Campus Ambassadors welcomed Fr. James, Fr. Wilfred, Fr. Manasseh, and Deacon Ed as they led the congregation with the Blessed Sacrament over to our St. John Bosco Chapel.

The remainder of the week was filled with parents and teachers meeting for fall conferences and our first Friday all-school Mass in the MPR—our new temporary home while St. Benedict's Church is under renovation. We will close out the week with the much-anticipated groundbreaking ceremony tomorrow, to be led by Fr. James and blessed by Bishop Olmsted. See below for details; I hope to see you there!

Thank you for your dedication to our students, teachers, school, and church. We have so much to be thankful for as we head into the holiday season!

Joyful Blessings,
Jamie Bescak, Principal
