06-06-2025Notes from the Principal

Dear Parents,

I hope you are enjoying the early days of summer—filled with rest, joy, and time with loved ones. While our campus may be quieter without your children’s laughter echoing through the classrooms & playground, we are already hard at work preparing for another faith-filled and academically strong school year.

As we plan for the year ahead, I would like to inform you that 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Naneth Perezchica will not be returning to teach at St. John Bosco next school year. Mrs. Perezchica has made the heartfelt decision to step away from the classroom to spend more time with her family. We are incredibly grateful for her years of dedication, faith, and love for our students. Please join me in thanking Mrs. Perezchica for her meaningful service to our school community and praying for God’s blessings upon her next chapter.

Thanks to your generosity and support of this year’s Gala, Running with Rosco, and Birdies Fore Bosco events, I am thrilled to share that we are moving forward with several exciting campus upgrades this summer, including:

  • New refillable water fountain stations throughout the entire campus
  • Renovation of the PE restrooms
  • A brand-new shade structure that will cover the entire lower court—pending city approval. Please keep this project in your prayers as we wait for a permit from the City of Phoenix. Approval times have been known to take up to nine months, and we are praying for a smoother process.
  • Painting, cleaning, repairs, and technology enhancements—including OneScreen Smart Board upgrades in every classroom

These improvements are only possible because of the time, talent, and treasure you contribute throughout the year. Thank you!

We have also been so pleased with our partnership with Hallow, which continues to deepen the prayer lives of our entire St. John Bosco community. As part of this partnership, they are offering a Summer Prayer Plan with simple and meaningful ways for your child to stay connected to their faith during the summer months.

The plan includes suggestions for family prayer activities as well, providing opportunities for your family to grow spiritually together during this restful season. I encourage you to explore the Hallow app and join your child in daily prayer as we continue to build a Christ-centered foundation in both home and school life.
You may find more information by clicking the Parent Resources button below.

Let’s continue to keep Christ at the center of our hearts and homes this summer!

And finally, a friendly reminder: All Preschool–8th Grade students are required to purchase a School Supply Box for the 2025–26 school year. These kits provide convenience, affordability, and ensure that every student starts the year fully prepared. Your child’s supply box will be waiting for them on their desk at Meet the Teacher on Mon, Aug 4. To make this possible, all orders must be placed no later than Sun, Jun 15.

Thank you again for your continued partnership and support. May your summer be filled with peace, joy, and God’s grace. I look forward to welcoming your children back in August, rested and ready for a wonderful new year.
