Dear Parents,
As we embrace the Thanksgiving season of reflection and gratitude, I want to express how thankful I am to be part of the St. John Bosco family. Your trust in us and your contributions to creating a loving, supportive community mean so much.
Today I am thrilled to share that our students performed exceptionally well on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) last spring! They exceeded the Diocese averages in Reading, English Language Arts (ELA), and Mathematics—a testament to their hard work, the dedication of our faculty, and your unwavering support. The attached graph highlights these achievements, and more details are available on our website under the "Academics" section.
I am also thrilled to share the tremendous success of our Running with Rosco event and extend my heartfelt thanks to all who made it possible! First and foremost, I would like to express my deep gratitude to Tera Naset, Cindy Casaus, and the incredible PTO crew for their tireless dedication and hard work to ensure this event was not only enjoyable for the kids but also impactful for our school.
With a goal of $25,000, together we exceeded our goal and raised over $45,000, which will go directly toward outdoor and facilities upgrades and enhancements—a tremendous benefit for our students and community!
A special thank-you goes to our Title Sponsors:
We also extend our appreciation to all our generous sponsors:
Bulldog Sponsorship
Rosco Sponsorship
Running Sponsorship
Finally, I am delighted to announce our TOP student earners: 1st Place: Amelia Ayboub; 2nd Place: Noah Fabilena; 3rd Place: Marley Houston, and congratulate the TOP class: Mrs. Faccenda's PK class, who will take home the coveted Golden Sneaker Trophy along with a pizza party and extra recess!
Thank you for your continued support, generosity, and commitment to making St. John Bosco Catholic School an extraordinary place for our children to learn and grow.
Wishing you all a safe and joyous Thanksgiving! Enjoy the long five-day break, and we look forward to welcoming you back on Tuesday, December 3rd as we begin the season of Advent together.
