August 6

08-06-2021Notes from the PrincipalMrs. Jamie Bescak

Dear Parents,

This is such an exciting time as we celebrate SJB’s 20th year! Our teachers have been busy preparing for their students to return to school and can’t wait to meet each and every one at Meet the Teacher this Monday, August 9, 3:00 - 6:00 PM.

Your first stop will be the MPR to pick up your Welcome Folder and your child’s new class assignment. Used uniforms will be available for purchase (cash or checks) at deeply discounted prices. Then you may proceed to your child’s classroom and meet the teacher. We encourage you to bring your child’s classroom supplies (see list below) at this time to ease the hustle and bustle on the first day of school. We have extended the time to allow space in between visiting families. We kindly request that adults and students wear face masks and maintain a limit of 5 families in a classroom at one time to allow for social distancing.

Our first day of school is this Wednesday, August 11, starting promptly at 7:50 AM with dismissal at 3:00 PM. Students will also attend Mass on the first day of school; therefore, students are asked to wear their Mass uniform this Wednesday. We will begin the celebration with a Eucharistic Procession from our school to the church lead by our own Fr. James. This special procession will begin at 1:00 PM.

In preparation for the first day of school, it is important that each parent read the Parent-Student Handbook and review with their child(ren). Likewise, preschool parents are asked to read the Preschool Handbook. There have been a few updates throughout and the attached COVID Addendum details this year's updated protocols. Students and parents, please sign and return the Agreement Form no later than August 27.
