08-19-2022Notes from the PrincipalMrs. Jamie Bescak

Dear Parents,

Thank you for attending Curriculum Night! Social-Academic data strongly indicates that children whose parents are involved in their education fare far better academically than those whose parents are unengaged. SJB parents do an excellent job in this regard, which is evidenced by the spectacular news I announced regarding our recent test scores. We not only have highly-trained teachers and state-of-the-art technology but involved, caring, nurturing parents like you who set up your children for success. Kudos to our entire school community.

Now we need everyone's cooperation to help ensure the safety of our children. Please remember that the North Lot is ONLY for parking and walking your kids to the front gate or to their classroom. This is a  critical security measure to ensure your child safely makes their way into school; we cannot guarantee their safety if they are dropped off in the parking lot. Also, to help with traffic flow, please do not back into a parking space as this causes a hazardous backup into the street. If you have young children buckled up in car seats and/or prefer not to leave your car, we strongly suggest using our convenient valet carpool service. Just pull up and we do the rest!

Lastly, please join me in wishing Fr. James a very happy birthday! Fr. James will be celebrating his 50th birthday this Wednesday, August 24. Many parents may not realize the importance of a pastor to the administration of a Catholic School. We are extraordinarily blessed that such a caring and supportive pastor oversees St. John Bosco Catholic School. May God bless him abundantly on his birthday and always!

Joyful Blessings,
Jamie Bescak, M.Ed., Principal
