Mrs. Conner

As the principal of St. John Bosco, Mrs. Shelley Conner seeks to ensure God's presence is evident on our campus and in our lives.

She believes that the children are the future of the church.  The school's task, in collaboration with the parents, is to insure the students graduate as well-rounded, thinking pre-teens.  Together, we provide the atmosphere where students can learn to be stewards of their faith, to observe, to evaluate, and to practice and solve academic, physical, and moral issues that face them.

Mrs. Conner has a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University and a Bachelors of Science in Ecology from the University of Arizona.  She holds administrative and teaching certificates from the State of Arizona and Catechist Certification from the Diocese of Phoenix.

Mrs. Conner was the Development Director at Seton Catholic High School for the past six years, and served as the Finance Director prior to that.  She was the Principal for Queen of Peace School in Mesa for three years as well.  Her teaching experience centered on fifth through eighth grades -- mainly in Math and Science.

When asked what her greatest challenge is, she cites "supporting the faculty so they may serve the needs of the children”.  Our faith inspires us to live His Kingdom here on earth.  Jesus built and nurtured relationships.  She believes that knowing a child’s story gives an awareness and appreciation of their experiences and educational background that guide us in teaching children”.

Mrs. Conner lives in Mesa with her husband and has three (mostly grown) children who all attended Catholic Schools.  They are members of Queen of Peace Parish.

Mrs. Reese

Mrs. Reese believes Catholic schools offer the opportunities for children to grow academically, physically, socially, emotionally, and most importantly spiritually. Catholic schools provide a community for a child to achieve to his or her full potential. Administration, faculty, parents, and students must set high goals and standards and work together as a team to achieve these.

Mrs. Reese has a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Northern Colorado and a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Valley City (ND) State College. She has teaching certificates from the states of North Dakota, Colorado, and Arizona. Mrs. Reese also holds a Catechist Certification from the Diocese of Phoenix. Mrs. Reese has taught in North Dakota, the Archdiocese of Denver, and most recently at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School in Phoenix and Queen of Peace Catholic School in Mesa.

She was Assistant Principal at St. John the Evangelist Catholic School in Loveland, CO. Her teaching experience has been in second grade through eighth grade. Her Middle School and Junior School experience has focused on Language Arts and Literature.

Mrs. Reese lives in Higley with her husband. They have two grown sons who live in Colorado. She is a member of St. Mary Magdalene Parish.
