Application Process
Pick up an application packet at the school office or print the two-page application.
Complete the application and submit with the following:
- Birth Certificate – No copies, original must be presented
- Report Card – copy of most recent report card for incoming 1st – 8th grade
- Test scores – copy of most recent test scores for incoming 3rd – 8th grade
- Sacrament Certificates – copy of Baptismal, Reconciliation, First Communion, Confirmation, as applicable for each child.
- Parish Verification Form (provided in the application folder and on line) from your home parish, if outside of St. Benedict, Corpus Christi, St. Andrew or Holy Spirit.
- Application Fee - $50 per child (non-refundable, nor applicable towards tuition). Checks made payable to St. John Bosco Interparish School
Submit completed application packet to the school office on or before the first Thursday in February. Applications received after this date may not be processed until April.
Students entering grades 2 through 8 will be scheduled for an interview and a math and language arts placement test upon receipt of application.
Application to St. John Bosco Interparish School does not guarantee acceptance.
ACCEPTANCE
When limited space is available for new students, preference will be given to:
· Applications submitted for open enrollment first
· Siblings of children already enrolled
· Children of Catholic families who are active and participating members of a Catholic parish
· Children who have moved from a Catholic school out-of-state and whose pastor has verified that the family were active members
Parents will receive a letter of acceptance in March. The registration process will follow to secure your child’s seat.
ADDITIONAL
Note: State law and Diocesan policy require that any child entering Kindergarten must be five years of age by August 31st and Pre-Kindergarten students must be four years of age before August 31st.
Kindergarten and first grade applicants are required to take the Gessell Assessment. This assessment is administered at St. John Bosco by a trained evaluator for a non-refundable fee ($35 kindergarten, $50 first grade).
