One way to keep up with assignments is to check the website regularly. It's important to pay attention in class to the details about assignment requirements also. You're on your way to having an awesome year!
Ask questions when there is something you are not sure about.
Students should be coming to class each day with the following items:
paper
pencil
student planner
all Spanish assignments and papers
a Spanish / English dictionary
binder or folder as set up in class
Assignments are due at the beginning of class unless otherwise indicated. Students are to follow directions in turning assignments in the correct location. Late assignments for 5th and 6th grade will receive partial credit with a general guideline as follows:
Same day, but after class 80%
1 day late - 70%
2 days late 60%
3 days late 50%
Late assignments for 7th and 8th grade will be as follows:
Same day, but after class - 50%
Partial credit will only be given if assignments are received within 2 days of the due date.
Homework and tests are weighted differently as students advance into the higher grades. The scale is as follows:
5th grade hw - 40% assessments - 60%
6th grade hw - 35% assessments - 65%
7th grade hw - 30% assessments - 70%
8th grade hw - 25% assessments - 75%
