International Children Finale

Christmas Program 2009:

As in previous years, the Christmas Program will conclude with the Nativity.  We will continue with the International Children portion of the finale as selected students, dressed in ethnic attire, gather around the Nativity representing the children of the world.

Students may wear a costume of their family heritage or the costume of another country.  Please do not wear costumes with tall headwear like hats, etc. that could block the view of others on the stage.  If you have a question regarding your costume e-mail Mrs. Hamilton.

If your K-6 student will be dressed head-to-toe in ethnic attire and is interested in participating in the gathering around the Nativity, please email Mrs. Hamilton with the following information:

Student name

Homeroom teacher

Country of costume origin

Additonal Information:

Students will be practicing in the church for a few days prior to the December 16 performances.  However, they only need to bring their costume for the 6:30P.M. December 16th evening performance.

For the evening performance, students in the "International Children" have the option of wearing their costume when they sing with their class earlier in the program so they don't need to change clothing. Students who decide that they want to change clothing may do so in the rehearsal room at the back of the church.

Once the children sing with their class, they remain in the church until the finale:  As their class leaves the church to go back to the school campus, the students participating in the "International Children" walk to the back of the church to wait in the assigned room.

At the end of the program, parents of the "International Children" will need to pick-up their students from the assigned room at the back of St. Benedict's Church rather than from their homeroom on the school campus.
