Classroom Rules and Consequences

CLASSROOM RULES:

Following school and classroom procedures is essential in order for all students to have an equal opportunity to learn.  Students are expected to learn and abide by the rules so that the time spent at school is utilized in the most efficient and ordered atmosphere possible.  Teachers prefer to have a positive classroom, and must reinforce and review the rules constantly and consistently.

Mrs. Perkins' Classroom Rules

1.    Listen when you are told to “Listen.”  (That means no talking and eyes on the teacher.)

2.    Follow directions the first time they are given.  If you do not understand what to do, ask in the appropriate way.

3.    Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak.

4.    Stay in your seat unless you have permission to do otherwise.

5.    Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.

  Consequences:

Green= Great Job! (STAR)

Yellow = Good Job! = Warning (HAPPY FACE)

White = Oops = Second Warning (5 minutes time out) (SERIOUS FACE)

Red = Oh, NO!! = Notice home with written assignment that should be completed, signed by a parent, and returned the next day.) (SAD FACE)

Daily behavior will be recorded.  DWP (Discipline With Purpose) grades will be determined by the average behavior of each quarter.  If a student is frequently needing reminders about following classroom and school procedures and rules, I will contact the parents so we can meet to plan interventive methods.

TEAM POINTS

Each student is on a “Team,” which is determined by seating arrangements.  I will award team points as incentives throughout the day.

 CLASS INCENTIVE

Whenever the class has behaved especially well, or another staff member or guest on campus comments positively on the class' behavior, the Star Student will place a marble in the Marble Jar.  When it is full, the class will earn a special privilege.
