Students will also need a pencil bag and reusable water bottle. Dictionary and Thesaurus will also be used for 7th/8th grades. A flash drive, a calculator with four basic functions and a square root key, as well as a Merriam Webster Spanish/English Dictionary is needed. For Art, if you still have the sketch pad from last year with additional blank sheets - please recycle and use it again. It must be TOP SPIRAL BOUND, 9 x 12, 30 sheets. Students will cover textbooks and can do so with stretchable book covers (need 6) or brown paper.
A Note About Novels...
Please locate (Amazon? Barnes and Noble? Local library?) a copy of each of these novels for use during the 6th grade academic year:
*The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain
*The Monument by Gary Paulsen
The Giver by Lois Lowry (we have some; I'm looking to add to the collection)
Dicey's Song by Cynthia Voigt (again, we have some...hoping to beef up collection)
