Mission, Philosophy, Vision
Academic Excellence
- GOAL: The St. John Bosco Community will provide an environment that fosters academic excellence.
- Objective 1: By the 2004- 2005 school year, St. John Bosco will be accredited by NCA and WCA.
- Objective 2: By the end of the 2006- 2007 school year teachers will be trained to provide differentiated instruction.
- Objective 3: Assessments will be utilized in each grade level to monitor and evaluate student mastery of the curriculum throughout the academic year.
- Objective 4: Annually review the diocesan curriculum and enhance it based upon the needs of our students.
- Objective 5: Continuously promote self- discipline skills.
- Objective 6: Complete a review of current reliable educational publications and perform an internal study to evaluate the effect of class size on academic achievement by the spring of 2004.
School Population
- GOAL: To achieve academic, cultural and economic diversity.
- Objective 1: Each fall collaboratively identify and prioritize needed additions to the facility.
- Objective 2: Annually create a financial plan that addresses long and short- term facility needs.
- Objective 3: Annually review, revise and communicate our safety plan to our community.
- Objective 4: Annually review, revise and communicate our security plan to our community.
Financial Stability
- GOAL: To achieve financial self- sufficiency while providing affordable and effective Catholic education.
- Objective 1: Develop a financial management Strategy to become self sustaining by the beginning of school year of 2008.
Catholic Culture
- GOAL: The Mission and Philosophy of St. John Bosco Interparish School will permeate every aspect of the school community and will be evident in out behavior and communications
- Objective 1: Insure that the practices of Catholicism are readily observed throughout each school year.
- Objective 2: Promote our strong Catholic school identity by increasing our communication and presence in our school and neighboring communities each year.
- Objective 3: Develop, communicate and practice a Community Code of Conduct in our daily life.
- Objective 4: Each year, identify and integrate service- learning experiences that enrich our community.
- Objective 5: Throughout each school year, provide opportunities for all members of our community to feel welcome and accepted.
Facilities
- GOAL: To enhance and maintain a safe, clean and organized campus environment.
- Objective 1: Develop an annual financial assistance plan for students within our community.
- Objective 2: Annually identify the diverse academic program needs and the resources available to our community.
- Objective 3: Annually address extracurricular activity needs of the students.
- Objective 4: Each year promote through cross- curriculum projects pride, tolerance and presentation of the cultures represented within our community.
