GOAL 1 - Enhance and expand campus faith experiences
Objective 1: Students will demonstrate faith through active service, stewardship, and Christian attitude toward others while developing an awareness of community and global issues.
Objective 2: Exhibit our Catholic identity through understanding and actively participating in the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church (not including service, see objective 1).
Objective 3: Students will develop a personal spiritual relationship with God through the experience of class retreats
Objective 4: Continue to review the religion curriculum annually, to ensure that it meets the needs of the students, within the Diocesan and parish guidelines.
Objective 5: Encourage families to participate in liturgical events within the community (how do we function as a parish school)?
GOAL 2 - Maintain and improve academic standards and performance
Objective 1: Faculty will complete an in-depth study in one or more area of the curriculum to include grade level articulation and vertical articulation about .
Objective 2: By July 2009 be ready to implement a dynamic professional development program that meets the needs of staff, including a new staff mentor program.
Objective 3: By May 31, 2010 the staff will have researched, developed, implemented and tested a program to reduce incidents of bullying and increase positive social interaction between students.
Objective 4: By May 31, 2009 All St. John Bosco students will experience higher student achievement as a result of teacher effectiveness.
GOAL 3 - Facilities

GOAL 4 – Enhance financial performance while improving affordability.
Objective 1: Develop a short and longer-term financial plan for the school that is updated on an annual basis.
Objective 2: Monitor and analyze the financial performance of the school and communicate, as needed, to the SJB community.
Objective 3:Increase internal and external funding sources to provide greater financial support for the school and current and future SJB families.
GOAL 5 - Develop and Improve Extra-Curricular Activities and Programs
Objective 1: Devise means to assess student involvement in, and community satisfaction with existing SJB extra-curricular menu.
Objective 2: Devise means to annually solicit quantifiable community information and ideas for expansion or modification of extra-curricular offerings at SJB.
Objective 3: Create and maintain menu of SJB Extra-Curricular Activities, together with related contact and pertinent information for school web site
Objective 4: Develop a written policy regarding use of SJB facilities for extra-curricular events and activities, considering prioritization of uses, safety of participants, and remuneration.
Objective 5: Develop a written policy regarding use of SJB facilities for extra-curricular events and activities, considering Terms of Use and responsibility for condition of properties.
GOAL 6 – Increase internal and external community participation and awareness
Objective 1: Define what SJB positioning should be for both internal and external messaging.
Objective 2: Establish and solidify St. John Bosco Interparish School’s reputation in the community as one of all-around excellence, thereby securing community recognition and support.
Objective 3: Establish and maintain positive communication through the parishes in order to assist with development efforts.
Objective 4: Strengthen internal communication so families, staff and students are informed.
GOAL D: Development: Expand the internal and external funding sources
Objective 1: Establish working development committee
Objective 2: Support fundraising segments of the school including parent group, events, drives and campaigns, the Bosco, CTODP, Annual Giving, grants and endowment funding.
Objective 3: Develop alumni program
Objective 4: Work with St. Benedicts on their timeline for expansion of the Church.

Mission, Philosophy, Vision
Academic Excellence
- GOAL: The St. John Bosco Community will provide an environment that fosters academic excellence.
- Objective 1: By the 2004- 2005 school year, St. John Bosco will be accredited by NCA and WCA.
- Objective 2: By the end of the 2006- 2007 school year teachers will be trained to provide differentiated instruction.
- Objective 3: Assessments will be utilized in each grade level to monitor and evaluate student mastery of the curriculum throughout the academic year.
- Objective 4: Annually review the diocesan curriculum and enhance it based upon the needs of our students.
- Objective 5: Continuously promote self- discipline skills.
- Objective 6: Complete a review of current reliable educational publications and perform an internal study to evaluate the effect of class size on academic achievement by the spring of 2004.
School Population
- GOAL: To achieve academic, cultural and economic diversity.
- Objective 1: Each fall collaboratively identify and prioritize needed additions to the facility.
- Objective 2: Annually create a financial plan that addresses long and short- term facility needs.
- Objective 3: Annually review, revise and communicate our safety plan to our community.
- Objective 4: Annually review, revise and communicate our security plan to our community.
Financial Stability
- GOAL: To achieve financial self- sufficiency while providing affordable and effective Catholic education.
- Objective 1: Develop a financial management Strategy to become self sustaining by the beginning of school year of 2008.
Catholic Culture
- GOAL: The Mission and Philosophy of St. John Bosco Interparish School will permeate every aspect of the school community and will be evident in out behavior and communications
- Objective 1: Insure that the practices of Catholicism are readily observed throughout each school year.
- Objective 2: Promote our strong Catholic school identity by increasing our communication and presence in our school and neighboring communities each year.
- Objective 3: Develop, communicate and practice a Community Code of Conduct in our daily life.
- Objective 4: Each year, identify and integrate service- learning experiences that enrich our community.
- Objective 5: Throughout each school year, provide opportunities for all members of our community to feel welcome and accepted.
Facilities
- GOAL: To enhance and maintain a safe, clean and organized campus environment.
- Objective 1: Develop an annual financial assistance plan for students within our community.
- Objective 2: Annually identify the diverse academic program needs and the resources available to our community.
- Objective 3: Annually address extracurricular activity needs of the students.
- Objective 4: Each year promote through cross- curriculum projects pride, tolerance and presentation of the cultures represented within our community.
